Adventure Divers doesn’t want to surprise our customers with hidden costs; therefore, our course pricing includes required books, certification card, required tables/ placards, and unique dive equipment required for each course. Basic SCUBA diving kit the student should already have is:
Mask, Fins, BCD, Regulator with SPG, LP BCD inflator, and Alternate Air Source (Octopus), Dive Computer, Compass, Diver cutting tool, Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) with line or reel. Because Pattaya’s water temperature ranges from 27-33°C an exposure suit is a personal preference.
SDI’s Solo Course
This popular specialty course prepares the diver in the event of a lost buddy without the need to terminate the dive. A favorite style among underwater photographers and videographers who would rather concentrate on capturing an image versus worry about the whereabouts of their buddy. When both buddies are solo qualified, they can agree on a dive plan; therefore, they may separate and reunite throughout the dive without having to worry, retrace, find, and rejoin or surface.
The program focuses on the mental attitude, the limitations, and the equipment needed to be self-reliant on a familiar dive site. Academic discussion will determine the range and amount of extra air the student will need carry separately. Diving will concentrate on using an independent air supply and it’s configuration, navigation back to boat, and signal devices. Several different pony cylinders are available at our shop. This allows you to find the pony and mounting system that will best suit your needs when you decide to buy your extra equipment for solo diving.
Prerequisites: 21 yr old SDI Advanced Diver, or equivilant qualification, with 100 logged dives

TDI’s Advanced Nitrox Diver Course.
Certified to purchase Nitrox mixes up to EAN100 has 3 advantages. 1. For the research or scientific diver working long hours in shallower waters with minimal surface interval and wanting to nullify nitrogen buildup. 2. For saturated diver requiring decompression stops wanting to accelerate that decompression time. 3. For rebreather divers needing to fill their cylinders with higher percentage oxygen mixtures
This course may be done with your existing recreational diving BCD which has attachment D-rings for a hanging cylinder. Additional skills include calculating gas consumption rates and deploying a lift bag from depth. Primary diving skills will be to monitor and adhere to the limit of the Maximum Operating Depth (MOD).
Prerequisites: 15 yr old, with parental consent, TDI Nitrox Diver, or equivilant qualification, with 25 logged dives

Technical Skills Course
Summarized, this course concentrates on Buoyancy, Balance, and Trim (BBT), a vital skill set for controlling one’s body to manage the virtual ceiling placed above a diver conducting mandatory decompression. It also is a must for diving in the confined spaces of either a wreck or cave. It’s not just a technical dive course since being able to float motionless has numerous advantages in sport, non-silt-up diving especially for photographers/videographers
The course will configure your sport equipment for technical dive configuration using a large volume cylinder with 2 regulator attach points. Primary and secondary regulators, the long hose, dive and gas planning/management, underwater note taking, lift bag deployment, measuring and calculating Respiratory Minute Volume (RMV) and team leadership building are also brought into the theory and scuba skill development. Most of the diving is done in shallow (and even confined) water to allow time to accomplish all the skills..
Prerequisites: 15 yr old, with parental consent, Open Water Diver, or equivilant qualification.

TDI’s Decompression Procedures Diver Course
Designed to let you use your sport diving BCD jacket holding a large volume SCUBA cylinder with 2 regulators. This allows to student to make decompression dives before committing to major equipment buys for technical diving. This course let’s you saturate beyond the NDL limits and off-gas the excess nitrogen in your body with confidence from depths of 45 meters. The course focuses on dive planning, gas management, gas choices, underwater problem solving, back-up contingency equipment selection and use, and depth control for decompression stops.
The student will need to have primary and back-up equipment as well as manage where to store and access all this equipment. The student will go back to basics of table planning the ‘square dive profile’ and watch timing of dive time and over max depth of the team. All students will become the dive team leader and an active dive buddy. The course will build from simulated decompression stops and eventually conduct several actual decompression open water dives.
Upon graduation, there are plenty of wrecks in the Pattaya area on the limits of sport, NDL diving which open up to the Decompression Procedures Diver. Combined with the Advanced Nitrox Course, you get extended bottom times on the deep wrecks with a reasonable time at decompression stops.
Prerequisites: 18 yr old SDI Advanced Diver and Technical Skills Courses (above), or equivilant qualification,.with 25 logged dives.
Recommended extra qualifications: TDI Nitrox Diver, SDI Deep Diver, SDI Advanced Buoyancy.

Twin Set Course
Whether you want more gas (air or Nitrox) than the common, single cylinder available at your dive shop, or an independent backup gas for your solo diving, or need more gas for deeper / technical diving, the twins course will let you comfortably use this equipment, a change from your standard sport SCUBA kit.
The first major change is to outfit you in a back-plate/wing system that allows you to mount and wear a twinset. Once fitted, divers will feel the increased drag at surface and underwater then progress to rolling out of a turtle (rolled on back) scenario. The course continues with safety drills such as leakage isolation drills and buoyancy backup. The end-game is to get you comfortable and able to balance with a twin set.
Primary system focus will be to use and manage gas balance for the Independent Double (I-Dbl) twins. I-Dbl uses any two single cylinders (available from any dive operator) and are mounted as twins with a special adapter. Keeping a balance of gas pressure between the 2 I-Dbl tanks is the primary skill to master. The student will also be given a familiarization dive with the Manifold Double (M-Dbl) in case they have the chance in the future to rent this type of twin.
Prerequisites: 12 yr old, with parental consent, Open Water Diver, or equivilant qualification,.

TDI’s Extended Range Diver Course
The ultimate collimation of all the technical dive courses to conduct deep dives to 55 meters carrying 3 Nitrox gas mixtures. We don’t cut corners nor skimp at these depths as we balance narcosis with oxygen toxicity. Twins with sturdy technical dive gear with back-ups are a must at this level.
All the skills obtained in the prerequisite courses will be combined and practiced until they become natural. Thinking risk assessment and choosing options for a dive team migrates to more advanced planning and diving. Now we use dive planning software to build specific tables and gas planning software to examine multiple options for gas reserve and management. In the realm of 55m narcosis affects task management in the deep. Inter-dependency with your team includes deep water buddy aid and rescue.
Upon graduation, dive with confidence to the limits of Nitrox mixes and you’ll be ready to go deeper with the Trimix set of courses. Even on the Nitrox mixes there are plenty of wrecks to visit in the Gulf of Thailand.
Prerequisites: 18 yr old TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver, TDI Decompression Diver, and the Twins Set Course (above), or equivilant qualification, with 100 logged dives to include 25 logged dives deeper than 30 meters.
