This dive introduces the adventure diver to the knowledge and techniques of multilevel diving. It covers the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and advantages of multilevel diving.
It teaches the methods of calculating multilevel dives using the eRDPML, the wheel and/or dive computers.
There is a review of decompression sickness theory and a review of emergency decompression procedures. We give a review of PADI’s S.A.F.E. campaign, and a review of procedures for flying after diving.
Student divers must use the eRDPML to plan the Multilevel Dive and stay within the maximum no decompression limits calculated using the eRDPML. Divers may use dive computers to monitor the dive. We encourage them to compare the eRDPML calculations to the dive profile allowed by their dive computers.
