Emergency First Response Instructor Course

During the Emergency First Response CPR and First Aid Instructor course, you will perfect the skills you learned becoming an Emergency First Responder and work on developing the Instructional abilities needed to teach these skills to others. Through independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care Courses.

CPR Instructor Course covers the specific goals and performance requirements for the Primary Care, Secondary Care and Care for Children courses, how to structure course learning, performance-based training requirements, and your role as the instructor in the classroom environment. You also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing students’ hands-on skills sessions, and how to present an effective scenario-based experience.

This is a non diving certification however every Rescue Diver must take the course and all professional PADI members must be current in their EFR status.There is also a large market for EFR Instructors in many commercial fields, from large corporations to smaller companies where large numbers of people are present.

EFR Instructor Prerequisites:

To become an Emergency First Response Instructor, you must be 18 years old and have completed CPR and first aid training in the past 24 months or be a practicing medical professional.
